Assistant Manager

What you’ll do:

  • Leading and supporting the FOH team during service

  • Helping manage bookings, cashing-up, rotas, and stock control

  • Ensuring smooth communication between kitchen and FOH

  • Upholding high standards of customer service and cleanliness

  • Opening/closing shifts and acting as Manager when required

  • Assisting with events and private functions

  • Being a positive presence on the floor — setting the tone for great hospitality

  • Experienced in hospitality management or strong supervisor looking to step up

  • Confident leading shifts and motivating a small team

  • Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure

  • Passionate about people, good food, and genuine hospitality

  • Able to work evenings/weekends as part of a regular schedule

The Pig’s Nose Inn is an independent, family-run coastal pub known for great food, live music, and a lively village atmosphere. We’re looking for a hands-on Assistant Manager to join our small, close-knit team and help us deliver consistently great service across the bar, restaurant, and events.

This is a practical, people-focused role where you’ll work closely with the owners to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly — from busy Sunday roasts and live gigs to summer service.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary £32,000- £34,000 DOE (+ Tips & Service Charge on average £300 a month)
