karen Bayley

Karen Bayley is a midlands based act hailing from Birmingham. Karen has been on the circuit for over a decade. She made a name for herself early on in her career reaching the semi-final of the prestigious BBC New Comedy Awards and was later crowned the winner of the 2001 Komedia New Act prize, Karen Bayley followed by becoming the first ever female winner of the prestigious Comedy Store King Gong award as well as reaching the finals of both the BBC New Comedy Awards Showcase and Babycham Funny Women.

Delightfully saucy, her friendly and confident stage presence, combined with a killer wit, an infectious giggle and some devastating one-liners make her a comedic force to be reckoned with a warm and welcoming with a delightfully saucy and spiky edge, her bold, no nonsense attitude strikes a perfect pitch with men and women alike.

Karen can be seen performing at all the established clubs and bookers across the UK and has recently been supporting Joe Lycett on his 2016 tour. Karen also appeared in the Aviva Goth Advert Campaign

Dan Evans

Dan Evans first appeared on the comedy circuit in 1994, shortly afterwards leaving a promising career as one of East Anglia’s leading office menials to go full time.

Over the past decade his twisted logic has delighted the nation, helping it through the dark days of the death of HRH The Queen Mother and the uncertainties of 21st century property prices.

As well as playing clubs and universities throughout the UK, Dan has gigged in Holland, Germany, Dubai and Ireland as well as being part of the sell-out Screaming Blue Murder Cabaret and Avalon Comedy Zones at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Dan’s TV and radio appearances include Brain Candy (BBC3 & 2), Channel 5 at The Store, Channel 5 Comedy Zone and the Radio 2 Stand Up Show.

He writes too, with many credits including The Very World of Milton Jones (R4 – Sony Award Winner), Rory Bremner Who Else? (CH 4), The Eleven O’Clock Show (CH 4), The Live Floor Show (BBC 1), Revolver (BBC 1) and The Joan Rivers Position (CH 5).

Dave Thompson

Stand-up veteran Dave Thompson is probably best known for playing Tinky-Winky in the Teletubbies – especially after he was sacked in July 1997 because the BBC thought his interpretation of the role was 'unacceptable’.

As a live act, he has worked in the USA, Sweden, France, Ireland, Holland, The Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Dubai, Oman, and The Falklands as well as on the British circuit. His absurdist physical humour led Ben Elton to write a role for him in his 2000 movie Maybe Babe, as Dave The Comedian, aka Mrs. Furblob.

His other regular appearances include the semi-regular character 'Dave' in Al Murray's sitcom Time Gentlemen Please, and a handful of adverts.

He is also a regular collaborator with Harry Hill, making several appearances on ITV's The All New Harry Hill Show, Shark Infested Custard and TV Burp! and playing various roles in his stage shows Wild Horses and Hooves.

He has written for TV Burp! and ITV’s The Sketch Show, co-written Boothby Graffoe's four Radio 4 series, and supplied material to several other stand-ups.

lou conran

Lou was born in July in the 70's (hard to believe isn't it?) In her formative years she developed a love of curry, James Bond, Cinzano and Lenny Henry (I know..).

Having gone to stage school when she was 12 she developed her love of twatting about, and she was told that if she knuckled down she could make a brilliant serious dramatic actress.

Her first proper acting job was dressing up as a six foot orange teddy bear that lived with four other bears, very dramatic and very serious.

Lou started stand up comedy in 2006 and has gigged regularly ever since. She gigs up and down the country and is a regular MC for Comedy Central- Liverpool’s Baby Blue, Frog & Bucket - Manchester, Hilarity Bites, Buzz Comedy, amongst many others. Amongst her set 15/20’s, she has supported Sarah Millican, Puppetry of The Penis (supported, not got her wanger out) gigged for Buzz Comedy, Manfords Comedy Clubs, The Stands (Edinburgh/Glasgow), again amongst many others, has been delighting audiences with her naughty but nice delivery, her friendly presence and her instinctive wit, ever since.

Here's a few nice things that people have said about her:

"Naturally Funny" Sarah Millican

"A great emcee, quick witted, and adept at handling large rooms" Gary Delaney

"Lou Conran is a very versatile MC and one of the warmest we use. She has the ability to judge a room and pitch her performance perfectly. Not only is she very funny, but she also sets the room up for the other acts. We love her. " Lee Martin Gag Reflex

“Lou Conran, pretty much one of the most confident and playful comperes we’ve seen recently, commanding a packed and raucous sell-out night with ease.” Latest7 magazine

“Compere Lou Conran –always fabulous, a compere who makes her job look so effortless that it’s a fair bet that her fellow comics want to do her serious harm.” Fringe Review

"Lou did a great job of hosting our gig in Darlington, really injecting energy into a fairly lethargic midweek crowd with her cheeky humour and impressive audience interaction. Really struck the right note, and I'll certainly be offering her more MC work on the back of it." Neil Jolly Hilarity Bites

“Fabulously naughty” UKTW

"Louise is a naturally funny comic, with a warm and dotty stage presence that helps endear her to an audience. If she can build on the great foundations she has laid, she's sure to have a good future ahead of her. Witty, naughty but most of all good fun, with a touch of the Victoria Wood about her." Toby Hadoke -XS Malarkey

"…with a cracking stage presence and good material…thoroughly engaging, you tell she has the talent." -Frog & Bucket

Email from Audience member: (April 2014)

"Hi, absolutely cracking tonight normally don't like women who try and be funny, but you were amazing, funny, completly chuffing great, thank you muchly." A Nother Woman.
